Abstract:

“To Nietzsche, the logical axioms of identity, non-contradiction and excluded middle and the metaphysical categories of entity, being, enduring entity have but anthropological and not ontological value. They are the simplifications, the falsifications that have long ago been “incorporated, ” embodied in the very way our sense organs pattern the flux about us. They have enabled the species to survive; perhaps countless nascent species that did not conclude that similar things were identical, that situations recurred the same, that properties or dispositions were enduring perished.”
